I do not have access to the reference (Stern 1993) which tells of a possible archive structure adjacent to the west side of the pier supporting Robinson's arch. Ben Dov identifies such a structure (known variously as the "Hall of Capitals", "Freemason's Hall" or "Hall of the Hasmoneans") just to the west of Wilson's arch which he suggests as a candidate for either the Xystos or Archive. It would be easy to confuse plans of the two arches. If someone has access to Stern's book, I would be reassured to know if it says that a structure has been identified to the west of Robinson's arch and not Wilson's arch. Perhaps there was something published more recently than the book from Ben Dov. • Astynaxtalk06:00, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
