editI heard that the city began as a predominantly Caucasian suburb. More and more Latino people moved in, until they formed a majority. When the city government became Latino, the white folks started moving away, out of prejudice according to one inhabitant, out of disgust at reverse discrimination according to another. As the Caucasians closed their businesses, available employment opportunities decreased, and Robstown is now on its way to becoming a suburban barrio.
