Grama Bay vs Bay of Grama

@Iaof2017: I would like to discuss with you your recent moving of the article from Grama Bay to Bay of Grama. I do not think that Bay of Grama would be a good English translation of the Albanian Gjiri i Gramës. The Albanian names of different geographical features follow the grammatical pattern of gjindore: Ishulli i Sazanit, Gadishulli i Karaburunit, Gjiri i Vlorës, Laguna e Nartës. Where there is a place name (settlement, whatever) from where a particular geographic feature's name comes, the right English translation is indeed marking this provenance. There is a city called Vlorë, and there is a small village called Nartë, so the Gjiri i Vlorës is Bay of Vlora, and Laguna e Nartës is Lagoon of Nartë. But when there is now such thing originating the name, for example Gadishulli i Karaburunit, the right English translation is Karaburun Peninsula, not Peninsula of Karaburun. This is the exact same case with the Gjiri i Gramës. There is no place, settlement, mount, hill, whatever called Gramë, but the bay itself is Grama, therefore Bay of Grama is misleading, and the right English name is Grama Bay (sometimes Gramma Bay closer to the original Greek name). I am not reinventing the wheel here, this is how Albanian authors, e.g. Neritan Ceka or Muzafer Korkuti also refers to the bay in their English language papers. To add that the name of this bay comes from the Greek word gramma meaning letters, due to the inscriptions. Pasztilla (talk) 09:29, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
