Article overhaul
editHave attempted to overhaul this article, mindful of the critique attached by another editor. CLearly the article was previously more laudatory than encyclopedic, and therefore not consistent with WP:NPOV and WP:NOTAFORUM and other Wikipedia guidelines.
In so doing, I've stripped out or toned-down some of the laudatory terms (e.g: "heroic"), and replaced with more neutral terms, but without trying to trivialize the significance of Edmond's extraordinary wartime actions.
I've also inserted numerous new reference citations (mostly from reputable major media, e.g.: New York Times, CBS News, CNN, NPR, etc.), and some encyclopedic data and information from them -- including the date of the notable event. Finally, I've broken the article up into further sections, and reorganized it somewhat, for sequential organization, clarity and accuracy.
While I've not completely eliminated all of prior editors' subjective language and presentation, hopefully this article now largely meets the standards of Wikipedia, -- while retaining a clear presentation of the significance of Edmonds' wartime actions, and the modern-day recognition of those actions.
