CNBC/NBC
Why no mention of his years at CNBC? How did he avoid the Vietnam draft? ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:989:4200:88D:5912:EBF7:708A:C30A (talk) 00:48, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

Sexual harassment allegations under "Personal life"?
It seems odd to me to have these allegations under "Personal life". Since, as far as I can tell, all the allegations are about workplace sexual harassment, I would suggest moving this section into "Career". Alternatively, examples like Bill Cosby or Jian Ghomeshi suggest that it may also be appropriate to move it into its own top-level section if the scandal continues to escalate.--Eloquence* 05:25, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
- I would not object to that. Especially since it appears that these allegations mean he's out at Fox, if the reports are to be believed. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:20, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
- I came here to suggest the same thing, especially since this may lead to his dismissal at Fox.LM2000 (talk) 21:10, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
- Done, thanks for the responses.--Eloquence* 22:47, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Ailes stepping down
According to Reuters:
- Roger Ailes, who built Fox News into a profitable ratings powerhouse, and Twenty-First Century Fox Inc are in negotiations over his departure from the cable news channel following allegations of sexual harassment, a person briefed on the discussions said Tuesday.
The "person briefed" is an anonymous source, whose identity Reuters is protecting as part of its journalistic integrity and normal journalistic procedure. However Reuters is reporting this source who it has vetted as being the real thing. Then this:
- Ailes' attorney, Susan Estrich, told CNN that there was no deal yet and any announcement on an agreement would be made by Twenty-First Century Fox.
"No deal yet" means there is a deal in the works.
New York magazine
- cited anonymous sources, lawyers for 21st Century Fox Inc, gave Ailes a deadline of August 1 to resign or face being fired for cause.
The exact details of the negotiations can wait but there is enough reliable sourced information to say a deal is in the works. -- GreenC 01:25, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Also, the forced departure from Fox is the biggest thing to happen to Ailes' career, other than the founding of Fox. It belongs in lead. -- GreenC
- As the article stands, I don't think Ailes' negotiations belong in the lead. What about working it into the body? Mrtea (talk) 18:51, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
- I don't know that this is appropriate to include at all at this stage per WP:CRYSTAL. I don't doubt that they're negotiating his golden parachute, but there's enough likelihood that this is false to warrant caution. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:54, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
It's what the reliable sources reported. Calling it crystal is distrusting the sources. Either the sources are reliable, or they are not. -- GreenC 18:18, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
Media consultant roles, past and present
News reports today indicate that Roger Ailes has come on board the Trump campaign as media consultant. That selling of the candidate position ought to be joined to the Nixon, Ronnie and H.W. media consultant jobs in the article lead. It's going to intensify. - 173.16.170.120 (talk) 16:28, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
