Proposal to update infobox photo

edit

I'd like to propose to updating the photo in the infobox to this one. It's eight years more current, more in focus, and less of the artist's face is obscured in shadow.

Any thoughts? If not, I'll just go and be bold and update. --Davidwbaker (talk) 19:42, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Go for it. That picture looks much better than the current one, in my opinion. It'd be nice if it rendered about the same size as the current one, though. Willondon (talk) 19:59, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, done. If folks think the photo should be cropped differently, let me know. --Davidwbaker (talk) 23:10, 24 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Add guitar to list of instruments

edit

He already has guitars in his info box and he plays guitar on stage. 203.59.187.7 (talk) 14:09, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

erroneous claim that Daltrey has glaucoma?

edit

The article linked to in the next to the last line, "Daltrey has had Glaucoma since 2005, which has made him wear sunglasses to protect his eyes.[112]" https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/roger-daltrey-interview-2018 has nothing about glaucoma, and I cannot find anything else claiming that Daltrey suffers from glaucoma. Is the claim simply wrong? Gregconquest (talk) 05:38, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Done. Removed. Thank you for catching this. Dr. K. 06:10, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Needs more sources

edit

The article was tagged in 2014 for needing more sources. I have just removed a good deal of unsourced material. However, there is still a lot of unsourced material that I left in the article because I thought it was relevant and notable. Many more sources are needed. SunCrow (talk) 04:20, 19 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Out of curiosity (and to learn), with over 100 sources, what further info do you feel needs a cite/source? With the exception of the imdb ref, which is used for the film/tv selected titles, it seems the article is well referenced. Thanks.THX1136 (talk) 18:23, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

"father came home a few years later"

edit

Strange sounding info - also because the Brits did not waste much time in keeping German War Prisoners in Camps abroad? I mean not years. What did Daltreys father do some more "few years" after the war that kept him off his homecountry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.108.129.198 (talk) 22:45, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

The source given doesn't even mention his father's return, so I have reworded. The fact that he did return is evidenced by the birth of Daltrey's two younger sisters, Gillian and Carol, in 1946 and 1947 respectively. More could be added. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:55, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Trombone

edit

Remove trombone from list of instruments. As much as he did play trombone on some tracks, he's not known for that. If anything french horn and trumpet should be added to John Entwistle's page due to him playing them on many albums. --80s Sam (talk) 13:05, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Agree. George Chisholm he wasn't. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:12, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
