editI've taken down the Andy Fitz reference because it is irrelevant; there is no mention of him in the link given to the article about Roger Taylor being awarded the "Hottest President." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zpobric (talk • contribs) 06:16, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
"Original Research"?
editI do not understand how "original research" applies after "Taylor's retirement came shortly after"... It is merely a reference to the timeline. The articles cited show controversy about sexual assaults occurring in February 2010. Taylor announced his retirement two months later. Thus, "shortly after." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.151.245.113 (talk) 04:26, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining your revert of Smtchahal's edit here on the talk page.
- However, the problem isn't so much the expression "shortly after", but the implied causal relation: "Taylor's retirement came shortly after his administration came under fire for minimizing sexual assaults on campus and preventing victims from bringing their evidence to the police" - that sentence clearly tells the reader that his retirement had something to do with the sexual assaults controversy. See Wikipedia:No_original_research#Synthesis_of_published_material_that_advances_a_position: "If one reliable source says A, and another reliable source says B, do not join A and B together to imply a conclusion C that is not mentioned by either of the sources". Please find a source that says explicitly that he retired (at least in part) because of that controversy. Regards, HaeB (talk) 06:52, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
