Use of diacritics in article's title

edit
This is the English Wikipedia, and according to the policy of WP:COMMONNAME and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English), this article does not use the subject's name as it might be spelled in Slovenian (with diacritics) as its article title; it instead uses the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources. This includes usage in the sources used as references for the article. Dolovis (talk) 13:24, 13 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
His name is Rok Tičar and it should be written as such. I dont see why this article would be an exception considering that majority of other international athletes (Jaromír Jágr, Teemu Selänne, Dejan Stanković, Júlio César Soares Espíndola) including other well known persons, such as the current President of Poland (Bronisław Komorowski), President of Slovenia (Danilo Türk), Prime Minister of Spain (José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero) and thousands more, use diacritics in their article names.Ratipok (talk) 13:15, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please try to work this out before moving the page again. I've move-protected this page – I know, it's at the wrong title – for a couple weeks. Perhaps open an RM or continue the discussion at WT:EN? Thank you, ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 13:50, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
