editClan War pages still linked to from the "classic L5R" link on L5R.com (AEG's L5R site). Just as an FYI for why I mentioned it. Wfh 10:16, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
"Bequeathed"
editIs is correct to say that the Emperor "bequeathed" land to the clans? Did he leave it to them in his will?
Perhaps it would be better to say that the Emperor enfeoffed the clans of the land. I will be bold and make the change.
Clans y Races
editShouldn't there be a "Clans of Rokugan" and "Races of Rokugan" as different pages? I mean, Rokugan is the name of the land, it should focus more in its geography than in the inhabitants. --Ellohir (talk) 22:00, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Zokujin
editZokujin are not Mujina. Mujina are little pestering spirits from the Realm of Mischief. Zokujin are copper goblins. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.177.14.164 (talk) 21:23, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Dungeons and Dragons is the wrong category
editRokugan is part of the Legends of the Five Rings franchise. It was VERY BRIEFLY associated with D&D via a licensing agreement, but putting it as a subheading of D&D is inappropriate. It is neither owned by WotC, nor currently associated with them. More the 3 times as much material has been produced with no relation to D&D then was ever produced during the licensing period. It should have an independent listing and category box. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.142.206.78 (talk) 17:26, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
Article badly in need of citations
editThis article is badly in need of citations.
It was turned into a redirect by someone who thought that Rokugan was not notable. That edit was reverted (with an explanation that it is a notable subject) but the same editor repeated the edit, without following a process (such as an AfD request).
I'm reverting the edit, as I agree that Rokugan *is* notable, but we need editors to come along and clean up the article (as was requested in April). As the article was deleted twice (by turning it into a redirect) I don't think there has been a fair chance for constructive editing to happen and would ask people to avoid trying to push through deletion based on the April date, as the conversion to a redirect means that the article has been invisible for five months.
I'm going to try to request help from the Wikiprojects that have an interest in this page, in the hope that improvement can be made. Big Mac (talk) 22:00, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Note that the article was previously restored by User:Oknazevad in April 2018, but the editor who redirected it in the first place redirected it again a few hours later instead of using WP:BRD. 208.47.202.254 (talk) 23:05, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- ...Honestly, I think the article needs to be almost entirely rewritten. While it may be notable, the way to demonstrate that is by citing reliable sources that write about the setting (...not just first-party materials). In addition, the article is almost entirely written from an in-universe perspective, and virtually none of it focuses on the setting as a whole (instead detailing assorted trivia about each clan, regions outside Rokugan, and more trivia about mostly rare/minor species in the setting).
