F-104
editHe flew the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter too, didn't he ? --93.104.182.235 (talk) 18:47, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- From memory, yes. IIRC he also flew the F-80, F-84, F-86, F-100, F-104, F-106 and F-4, and also the B-45, B-46, possibly the B-47, but I think it may not have been ready at the time he was there, and B-48, but I may be mistaken on one or two. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.221.26 (talk) 19:22, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Birth place
editThere seems to be a difference of opinion between the info-box and R.P Beamont's entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography as to where he was born. KreyszigB (talk) 16:26, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
Retirement?
editDidn't he also fly the Tornado? (and from the cockpit, not a desk). I recall something (probably from his autobiog, Fighter Test Pilot: From Hurricane to Tornado) about him encountering the engine gearbox fire problems. Andy Dingley (talk) 20:44, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
Battle of France ...
edit...is glossed over. What happened from May, 10, 1940 on. And when his outfit (or he) returned to France. --129.187.244.19 (talk) 12:46, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
- From recall, as I think I wrote this section, I don't think the period from 10 May to July is described in any of the sources that I had access to. KreyszigB (talk) 19:45, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
