Talk:Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milan
Ambrosian Catholic Church information must be moved to its own article. I do question, however, the source of the text as it seems to read as if it were taken from a copyrighted source word for word. --Gerald Farinas 18:15, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
- I wondered about that as well, but a Google search turned up nothing. Adam Bishop 18:49, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Cleanup
editMight I suggest this article is turned more into a history than a series of lists? See WP:EMBED. FlagSteward (talk) 15:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Parishes within the Archdiocese of Milan
editThere appears to be some confusion in the article as to the boundaries of the Archdiocese of Milan. For instance, the article states that "[...] parishes all fall within the region of Lombardy", yet the article lists parishes for only six provinces of the Lombardy region, leaving out the provinces of Brescia, Crema, Cremona, Lodi, Mantua and Sondrio. What's more, the parishes should be listed firstly according to diocese, then subsequently according to province and not simply according to provinces.. I would suggest a little revision of this aspect of the article and am happy to collaborate in any possible way. Radarino (talk) 14:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I have a more fundamental question: why are we including a listing of the 1104 parishes at all? There are no Wikipedia articles about any of them (as far as I can tell), nor are there any external links. Isn't this a violation of WP:NOTDIRECTORY? I tried to delete the listing, but it was reverted (twice). I am confident it does not belong, but appear unable to do anything about it. Help? Thanks. 69.143.216.119 (talk) 16:58, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- The listing has now been deleted pursuant to recommendation and discussion with Bradjamesbrown. Bojangles04 (talk) 15:39, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Archdiocese which is not a Metropolitan?
editThis does not apply to Milan archdiocese. However, in one of the changes to this page I noticed the comment "An archdiocese does not have a metropolitan see above it", in the removal of reference to Mario Delpini as metro archbishop. Don't get me wrong; THE CHANGE IS OKAY but you needed a little qualifier in the reason for the change, because there is at least one case elsewhere where an archdiocese continued to be styled as such but it became a suffragan see, so that its Archbishop no longer received a pallium.
