Bp Dennis Ward
editI just posted the following on the talk page of a user who does not have a username. Does anyone know anything about Bp. Ward?
- "Hello, fellow user/editor. I just noticed that you added the following to List of the Catholic bishops of the United States#Province of Newark: "Dennis G Ward, New York and Rome Italy". I was wondering. Who is Bp. Ward? Is he living in New York or Rome? Is he secretary of a Roman Curia department/dicastery? Depending on his job, his entry probably should be moved from the "Province of Newark" section to the "American bishops serving outside the U.S." section (at bottom of the article). If you need any help with this or anything else, please feel free to let me know. God bless you."
Other priests of this diocese who became bishops -- reinstated material which was deleted May 14
editOn May 14, someone deleted the list of 2 priests of this diocese who became bishops (and who were not the ordinary or a coadjutor or an auxiliary bishop). There are many other Catholic dioceses with Wikipedia pages which list such other priests. Also, notice that the introductory paragraph was still referring to such other priests.
I have reinstated that list of 2 names. If that is removed again, I will be faced with complaining to Wikipedia. Do you understand what I am saying about other priests of the diocese who became bishops? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.102.56.146 (talk) 23:06, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
An Additional Auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Newark
editBishop Walter Curtis became an auxiliary bishop of the Newark archdiocese in June of 1957. He has a Wiki page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_William_Curtis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.72.73.253 (talk) 19:48, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
Parish list, etc.
editPer WP:NOT a directory, we have established consensus that exhaustive lists of parishes, pastors, elementary schools, etc., are not appropriate for diocesan articles. I have been deleting the lists on sight. For discussion please see WT:CATHOLIC#Lists of parishes, schools, religious on diocesan article pages. Thank you.
