On 8 May 2006 I have revert this article to the version of 27 December 2005. This was to remove text that appears to be a copyright violation of this site. I have left a note on User_talk:64.61.130.151 asking if he has permission to use the text. --MarkS 20:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disambig?

edit

There are two Roman Catholic Dioceses called the "Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette", one in Louisiana, and the other in Indiana. This one refers to the one in Louisiana.

I propose that we move this article to Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette in Louisiana and make the page at Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette into a disambig, allowing people to choose between the one in Indiana and the one in Louisiana. Sleckronmich (talk) 07:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Former schools

edit

https://www.fox8live.com/2019/05/08/cost-choice-louisianas-voucher-program-costs-millions-more-send-children-lower-performing-schools/ says a school in Lafayette closed in 2016: Immaculate Heart of Mary. If/when there's a listing of K-8 schools in this diocese I would like to add it. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:22, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Gilbert Gauthe

edit

The section on Gilbert Gauthe is the longest one in the entire article about a large and relatively old diocese. I recommend moving the very detailed account of his court case to the Gilbert Gauthe article. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 12:57, 19 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
