Seal with the legend in the Ruthenian language: «+ ПЄЧАТЬ ІѠ (Божьей милостью) РОМАН ВОЄВОДА ЗЕМЛѢ МОЛДАЛЬВЬСКОІ». So he called himself and considered Ruthenian to be his native language. So his name should be written in this native language for him.--Лобачев Владимир (talk) 14:49, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
That he used "Ruthenian" doesn't mean that he identified himself as such. By the way, what language is exactly "Ruthenian"? Old Ukrainian? I have never seen it being used in other Wikipedia articles. SuperΨDro21:52, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ruthenian language it is one of the official languages of the Moldavian principality. Here are the sources (in Russian):
Ok, I guess it can be added, but the modern Moldovan language is unrelated to Roman I. I will accept only in the condition that his name in Moldovan is removed from Wikidata. There's no consensus for keeping it, every single other page about a Moldavian prince uses Romanian names. SuperΨDro12:14, 7 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
