Suggest rewrite of "On July 14, 1993 he was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death"
He was convicted on June 8, 1993, but sentenced on July 14. This should be rewritten to clarify this.

He was apprehended with a 9mm or did he shoot the officers neck with a 9mm
