Stealth program

edit

Did Lowenstein call it a "stealth program", and is it therefore his opinion? Or is Lowenstein a "reliable source" and must we therefore assume that whatever he says is the indisputable truth? --Uncle Ed (talk) 01:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Missing information

edit

While a description of the LP is provided, the context is missing; what were the events leading to this record being made, how widely was it available and to whom was it distributed? Likewise it's impact and standing in the discussion on Medicare &/or "Socialized Medicine" (both at the time it was released & now) would also be helpful to note. Additionally, details about later retractions &/or contradictions from Reagan's later political life might be useful. -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 21:05, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've added some of what you suggested. But a Google archives search seems devoid of any mention in newspapers of the day about the distribution of the LP. And the comments by Jerry Brown, in 1966, quoted in a newspaper of that date, about the impact of what Reagan did are, unfortunately, unusable because the source (Brown) is, obviously, not neutral. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 18:51, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Was Reagan telling the truth to Carter?

edit

"When I opposed Medicare, there was another piece of legislation meeting the same problem before Congress. I happened to favor the other piece of legislation and thought it would be better for the senior citizens. ... I was not opposing the principle of providing care for them."

I don't doubt that Reagan actually said this, but is it true? If so, what was the other piece of legislation? --Jfruh (talk) 22:22, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is this a live album? There are no recording details, but IMO recording a ten-minute spoken word album in one take (which Reagan, an actor and broadcaster, could have done easily) does not make it a live album. Totnesmartin (talk) 14:35, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
