Statistics

Would anyone object to the addition of a statistics table to the article (similar to Klaas Jan Huntelaar)? If no I'll add it to the article in the coming days. JACOPLANE • 2007-02-4 01:52

nicknames

On spanish soccer channels they often call him 'jar-jar-binks' — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruiz abe (talkcontribs) 20:37, 10 February 2007

False, just two persons call him that way, and they're fairly stupid IMO. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SatoshiMiwa (talkcontribs) 10:29, 19 March 2007
Is that his reall nick name or what? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.175.17.2 (talk) 13:29, 4 October 2007

Heroes?

"Ronaldinho shares his birthday with a fellow heroic Brazilian, the late Ayrton Senna" Calling them heroes is quite a bit of POV. Should be replaced by a neutral term such as "famous sportsman". 84.0.216.119 19:15, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Position

It should be included that he's also, if not primarily now, used as a Forward as well as an Attacking Midfielder. 207.235.52.154 13:37, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Brian

attacking midfielder?
he only plays in this position for brazil but for barcelona he is a deep lying forward. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.64.129 (talk) 23:46, 18 April 2007
I agree, attacking midfielder is not the right description for him. Deep lying forward always is problematic, since deep lying frowards usually lye in the centre and ronaldinho makes much use of the left flank. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oded zimron (talkcontribs) 21:20, 26 December 2007

International Competitions

Widely regarded as one of the world's best free kick takers, Ronaldinho announced on April 26, 2007 that he will be a main participant in Free Kick Masters 2007, an international free kick competition that will be held in Houston, Texas, USA on December 22, 2007. Rafael Marquez, David Beckham, and Roberto Carlos are likely participants as well. The non-FIFA competition aims to declare the world's best free kick taker and goalkeeper.

Married

Is Ronaldinho Married? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parkerdinho10 (talkcontribs) 19:46, 25 May 2007

On his official webpage http://www.ronaldinhogaucho.com/ under the fammily section there is no mention to he being married, although that is no guarantee that he is not married. If i find a source that explicity states he is / is not married I'll update 201.37.193.157 00:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

transfer fee

I'm probably missing something here, but are we sure Barcelona paid PSG 50 million pounds for Ronaldinho? If so, wouldn't that put him above Zidane as the most expensive transfer in football history?--Flute138 14:34, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Someone beat me to editing the claim, but this link mentions the transfer was €30.7m. BestEditorEver 11:58, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Ronaldinho "signed for Leeds" in July?

Now, I know he hasn't signed for them, but what was this all about? I can't think up an explanation for why they would come up with that story. Sky Sports News is generally quite reliable, 13th July 2007 is quite a long way from April Fools' Day, as far as I can come up with. It just seems a bizarre story to report as fact, and I can't find any reason for it. --Dreaded Walrus t c 08:34, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Chelsea

If someone wants to add that Ronaldinho just signed a 5 year, 116 million dollar contract with Chelsea. He will suit up for them next year pending the an agreement between Barcelona and Chelsea. This is a blockbuster deal if there ever was one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmf572 (talkcontribs) 05:55, 26 September 2007

Chelsea Transfer

I know the media is reporting his deal with Chelsea, but his current club is FC Barcelona, this must be changed. --Spetkis07 17:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Ronaldhino to Chelsea

This is NOT by any means a certainty- it's a rumor. Show me one article that says he's going to chelsea for sure- even ESPN hasn't commented on it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.21.129.37 (talk) 23:45, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

ESPN is hardly the world rescourse on Football (soccer to you if you think that ESPN is relevant) try SkySports for an English language site. 81.149.82.243 (talk) 18:34, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Update this article

My name is Chris Charlton and I'm a huge FC Barcelona and Ronaldinho fan. I'm a bit annoyed though that this article hasn't been updated for so long and there's no news about his transfer speculations or his 2007/8 season so I'm asking for someone to please update this page thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.170.83.122 (talk) 08:59, 10 October 2007

Thank you for your interest but as a rule, WP does not deal with rumours. Once a contract is signed, then it is encyclopedic information. Transfer speculations are good for sports magazines, not an encyclopedia. In the future, please sign your messages by adding four tildes at the end of the line (~~~~). As for asking someone to update the page's information, the beauty of a wiki is that you can do it yourself. Whenever you see wrong or missing information, just fix it. Happy wiking!. -- Alexf(Talk/Contribs) 00:13, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

St Mirren

I think their should be a mention of him nearly signing for scottish giants st mirren http://soccernet.espn.go.com/archive/scotland/news/2001/0330/20010330smfcsronaldinho.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.195.15.83 (talk) 12:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
