References Needed, Information deleted
editHi @Kuru, Thanks for your interest. I understand that the Prabook, https://prabook.com/web/ronell_renett.klopper/119481, reference is not top quality, but is it de facto invalid? Wikipedia itself is user editable. Why was the date of birth and maiden name removed, apart from "citation needed"? I feel it is relevant, many other authors have this, and I would like to add it back if it is allowed.
@Plantdrew, thanks for the inline Botanist Authority template. Why did you remove the "Category:Botanists with author abbreviations" category indicator? Does the botanist authority template include it automatically?
Thank you for your help!!Thermofan (talk) 12:35, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- It's not reliable in any way. We also cannot use Wikipedia as source. Per WP:BLP, I would not advise including personal details about any person without reliable sources. Sam Kuru (talk) 13:07, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Thermofan:, yes, the template automatically adds the category. Plantdrew (talk) 15:13, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- I understand. I based my original citation on the guideline WP:ABOUTSELF, as it is a source that is not self-serving and does not make an exceptional or controversial claim. It is the same limitations on ResearchGate and Jstor. My Search for reliability continues...
- Thank you, Plantdrew. I will look into it. Thermofan (talk) 15:48, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
