List of names too long?
editHi,
don't you think the list of names is getting too long? Could some brave soul recategorize the names by subject? (Fictional characters, monarchs, actresses, etc.?) --GaryGermeil 23:08, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup
editI cleaned up this disambiguation page per MOS:DAB and removed several entries per MoS:DAB#Examples of individual entries that should not be created. If some of them are also widely known as just "Rose", I apologize. Please add them back to the disambiguation page then:

- Rose Bud, Arkansas, a town located in White County, Arkansas
- Rose Of Cimarron, an album by Poco, and the title track
- White Rose, a World War II non-violent resistance group in Germany
- Rose of Jericho, a name applied to any of the resurrection plants, Anastatica hierochuntica, Astericus pygmaeus and various drought-tolerant species of Spikemoss
- Rose-root, a succulent plant, Rhodiola rosea
- "The Rose of Tralee", a sentimental Irish song that gave its name to an Irish beauty competition and carnival
- "Ring around the rosey", a children's rhyme and game
- "Stinking Rose", a common name for garlic
- Confederate rose, a common name for Hibiscus mutabilis, an ornamental flowering plant in the family Malvaceae
- The rose chafer, a scarab beetle
- "Rose Hobart", a short, 19 minute experimental film created by the artist Joseph Cornell in 1936
- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT), a private non-sectarian college which specializes in teaching engineering, science, and mathematics to undergraduates
- The Rose Tattoo, a Tennessee Williams play
- The Rose Revolution, the Georgian peaceful revolution
- Christmas rose and Lenten rose, common names for species of hellebore
- Rose of Sharon, the common name applied to various flowers. In modern usage, it usually refers to either Hypericum calycinum or Hibiscus syriacus
I also removed the following entry because it's too trivia-like at the moment:
- "Rose" is on the list of hurricane names in the Atlantic Ocean, but has yet to be used (next comes up in 2009).

editThe article Rose should be Rose (flower) and Rose should redirect here. Anyone else think? SimpsonsFan08 talk contribs 12:42, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
