Ramones
editWeren't the Ramones in this episode? Shouldn't THAT be mentioned?
- Yeah, and the "Happy birthday, you old bastard" line was edited for the Channel 4 airing. --Conan-san 17:24, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's "Go to Hell you old bastard" fool!
Odd bit of censorship
edit"Following the death of Princess Diana, repeats of this episode on UK Satellite channel Sky One partially muted Burns' exclamation of "Damn you, paparazzo!" after he is snapped by a photographer losing a struggle with Maggie Simpson for Bobo."
- but surely... I mean, after Diana's death surely people were very angry with paparazzi, not sympathetic to them (e.g. censoring a knock on them). Isn't this kind of backwards?
"Happy Birthday Mr. Smithers"
editIn Waylon Smither's imagination a naked Mr. Burns comes out of a giant cake singing "Happy Birthday Mr. Smithers". Do you think this may be a spoof of Happy Birthday, Mr. President? 125.60.243.4 13:24, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it most likely is. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:20, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Featured Article designation
editThis is a "Good article", per Wiki. I feel it should be a Featured one. A handful of Simpsons episodes are ("Cape Feare") and I believe this belongs in the pantheon. It was listed second on Entertainment Weekly's best Simpsons episodes and first on Vanity Fair's. It features some of The Simpsons' most memorable film references (Citizen Kane) and one of the most memorable musical guests (the Ramones).
If the article isn't yet polished enough to be a Featured Article, let's polish it! Charlie Faust (talk) 15:51, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
