Hey, so I just went throught the article, and I thought that it was definitely worth a good read. I liked that it was incredibly dense with information on the history of the mill, but also concisely presented - along the lines of a real encyclopaedia. Also, the fact that you traced the involvement of the mill in the war, which although its a given important part of the history, helped make the article less of a survey of facts and incorporated the story of the area.

With that being said, I found a couple things that may help the article in the long-run: you mention a General Gerrard as being the Union general under the command of General Sherman, who captured the mill. However, that's left a little bit up to inference, and perhaps that should be stated. Also, perhaps you could include just a bit about what effects the closure of the mill had on the economy of the Marietta-Roswell area post-1975; maybe something as completely small as whether or not cotton production is still a big industry in the area.

Thank you so much! Took your advice about General Gerrard and tried to introduce him more clearly. Also explained the block text at the end is the inscription on the monument to the mill workers. Wasn't able to find anything on the impact of the mill's closing, since the main Atlanta newspaper was not running at that time, and the old newspaper that was running then doesn't maintain a website. Impressive entry -- full of relevant and clearly expressed information. Nicely organized and connected to wider issues going on in the area across history. Not many things to add (or for me to comment on) -- one thing that would be nice to have would be more images -- perhaps of Roswell King -- or some of the texts from the Confederate or Union forces (about the mill or the capture of the mill workers). I know that the historical society has the images and they probably are creative commons, but that might be something to ask on the IRC what can be used and what can't. Also, I removed the Georgia tag that was there, since it was the country tag and not the state. You might want to add the right one. Excellent work! Radavis147 (talk) 16:31, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Contradiction?

General Gerrard, a Union official working under the purview of General Sherman, seized the mill on July 5, 1864. Confederate forces burned down the bridge that spanned Vickery Creek before he could get to it.

Assault of Workers

Under the Deportation of Workers it claims that there were rumors of assault, the more recent Georgia Encloypedia reports that no such assaults occured. I think that it would be wise and advisable to remove this claim especially given how the claim from the youtube video that is also cited is derived from forum post that links to a now defunct website which was a road side attraction website to show areas around Georgia.
