- Oppose - while it is a derivative of the 915, which itself is a derivative of the Rotax 912, the Rotax 916 iS is a distinctive type, with sufficient notability for a stand-alone article, as already shown by the refs cited. See WP:GNG. The 160 hp power output positions it for a whole new class of aircraft applications, where it will be replacing engines like the Lycoming O-320, as illustrated by its installation in the Carbon Cub UL, so it is expected to see wide uptake. - Ahunt (talk) 12:06, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose - Per Ahunt. BilCat (talk) 19:14, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- Okay then! I saw the 916 as an uprated 915, only with a little more turbocharger boost.--Marc Lacoste (talk) 19:55, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
