The result of the move request was: no consensus. There isn't a strong consensus for moving this page. There are good points all around. This is a mispelling of the French region, but a fairly common misspelling. But this is probably the primary topic for this spelling. But then again, it might be confusing to people who don't know the correct spelling if (horse) isn't in the title. ¡Dios mío! So I'm going to just leave things how they are, but redirect Rousillon, which currently redirects to Roussillon, to this article and place a hatnote at the top. Hopefully, that takes care of the primary topic problem without introducing unnecessary confusion. -- tariqabjotu 04:25, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Rousillon (horse) → Rousillon – The page Rousillon, was a redirect to Roussillon. The horse's name seems to have been mis-spelled by the owner. I have put a template at the top of the horse's page to help navigation for anyone who makes the same mistake.--Relisted. -- tariqabjotu 03:47, 21 September 2013 (UTC) Tigerboy1966 22:08, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose - just as the owner misspelled the name so have many others and will continue to do so. Something at an accidental common misspelling still benefits from a dab. And per WP:AT this article is about a (horse) correct? In ictu oculi (talk) 23:46, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose this spelling is frequently used for the region of France. The only other option is to repoint it to the disambiguation page. It should not be the horse's article's title. -- 70.24.244.158 (talk) 04:42, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- Comment and weak support: The relevant search on this is mistakes in English use versus the correct way, where we have about 800,000 to 41 million. For what that's worth. That said, our horse breed article on the Friesian horse has the same concern; the word being spelled both "Friesian" and "Frisian." And even though Secretariat is the most famous race horse on the planet, Secretariat is a dab. I guess I don't really have a position on this per WP:PRIMARY, but wanted to add this info. I think that I would most strongly support a dab for Rousillon that points to both the horse and to Roussillon, personally, at least if we want to be consistent. This is what is done for Frisian, as an example. Montanabw(talk) 18:49, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- Support "Rousillon" itself doesn't refer to the region of France, it's just another misspelling. There is this horse called Rousillon, so shouldn't it take priority over a misspelling? This is just my opinion, anyway. TheMillionRabbit 19:51, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- It's a bit more than just another misspelling, it's a misspelling canonized in most editions of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, count Bertram in All's Well That Ends Well is "count of Rousillon" - hence many older English sources following the Shakespeare edition. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:23, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Comment as a compromise, could we make Rousillon redirect to Roussillon (disambiguation)? Tigerboy1966 20:19, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- I'd support a dab. Montanabw(talk) 02:24, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Shakespeare's spelling Rousillon currently redirects to modern Roussillon, it probably should feed to the Roussillon (disambiguation), don't know, neutral. But (horse) really is needed, if only to help readers find the horse in the top right search box; just try typing 5 letters [Rousi...] and see everything that pops up. Having (horse) there is helpful in this case. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:24, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- What pops up for people who happen to be using that feature and have javascript enabled is irrelevant to determining how we title our articles. --B2C 04:24, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Of course it is relevant. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:52, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

- Support. This is the primary topic for Rousillon (one s). Hatlinks at the top of the article to both the region (Roussillon) and the dab page should take care of it. --B2C 04:24, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- The horse is clearly not the primary topic [1], it is still France with only one "s". -- 70.24.249.39 (talk) 04:55, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- Revote: Let's just make a dab, OK? Montanabw(talk) 00:12, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
