Quotes

edit

The quotes section was my first major edit to a page here, so if anyone has any comments/tips on it, I would appreciate them. I'm still a bit new to this :) Idekii 06:31, 4 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Legacy section is trivia

edit

A pig by any other name, still smells like a pig. The Legacy section has managed to morph into a Trivia section. If you feel there is information in that section worth keeping in the article, then please work it into the body. At the end of February, I plan on deleting everything that is left in the Legacy section. --Brownings (talk) 23:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Karanacs for cleaning up the Legacy section and getting rid of all the trivia. --Brownings (talk) 12:13, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edgar Buchanan was formerly a dentist?

Does this bit of information belong in this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.38.199.221 (talk) 10:44, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Of course it does not. I just took it out.--Geometricks (talk) 07:18, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

minor change

edit

The judge plays a large role in a novel by Larry Mcmurtry, but the movie, made for TV, which I'd never heard of, and for which no wikipedia page exists, is referenced instead. Changed for greater relevance.66.72.210.208 (talk) 20:51, 19 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

an accuracy review is needed

edit

Those involved in editing this article should review the Handbook of Texas's online edition article on Judge Bean. There are some inaccuracies in this article, and the part about the burial conflicts with what is in the Handbook. The Handbook of Texas is published by the Texas Historical Association. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.226.163.175 (talk) 00:16, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Pet bear named Bruno

edit

I have read in some biographies of Judge Roy Bean that he kept a pet bear named Bruno for whom the lawyers appearing before him were expected to buy beers at the saloon. Is this true? As far as I know these were actual legitimate biographies.

If anyone has information on this bear it should be mentioned in the article. A pet bear is noteworthy. TheBlinkster (talk) 20:38, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Confederate invasion

edit

The article claimed that the Confederacy 'successfully' invaded New Mexico. A successful invasion captures territory and holds it. The Confederates were driven out, with nothing to show for the effort. That's success for the USA and failure for CSA. The 'info' has been removed. Lost Causers never give up!
