"In 1993, The Royal Corps of Signals relocated its training regiments: 11th Signal Regiment and 8th Signal Regiment, the former School of Signals, from Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire to Blandford Camp in Dorset." This statement is not quite correct. Prior to this move, there was already a regiment, called School of Signals, which was based at Blandford Forum in Dorset. I served there, during 1984. 8 Signal Regiment was the TRADE TRAINING REGIMENT. when based in Catterick, Basic Training was performed at 11 Signals Regt at Helles Barracks, and recruits successfully completing their "Basic" would then be posted to 8 Signals Regt, at Vimy Barracks, for further training in their chosen trade. 8 Signal Regt was NOT the "School of Signals".

editRemoved the reference to Cadets, they are not "troops" the ACF/CCF is a non combatant Youth Organisation sponsored by the MoD(A), it does not "provide troops to provide comms for the Army"--Pandaplodder (talk) 12:24, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
offending section: ===Cadets=== The The Army Cadet Force and the Combined Cadet Force contain detachments affiliated to the Corps and specialist Signals Troops. These Troops are trained in the use of signals and often supply a large number of the cadets who attend army signals courses [1], and wear the cap badge and stable belt of the Royal Corps of Signals.--Pandaplodder (talk) 12:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Trades
Is it appropriate to update the trade list to include the difference between Regular and TA trades as well as removing Tech Sup Spec and replacing with the new data? --Mlongcake (talk) 15:27, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Weasel words removed
It was starting to read like an advert for the corps. I've corrected that for now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.125.63.133 (talk) 00:23, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

216 (PARA) Squadron
edit216 (PARA) Squadron appears to be missing from the list of units. I would add it myself but not sure if its part of a regiment of independent. --Jim Sweeney (talk) 17:37, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Superintendent
editI recently came across a former Superintendent of Army Signalling and having searched the term found there are many others but no page for the term exists. I know it seems obvious that the Superintendent is in charge of signalling but would it be worth creating a page that explains their role more clearly? LameCat (talk) 12:19, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
This article needs revising
editMany of the units have disbanded such as 216 Signal Squadron (in 2010) and Army 2020 has reorganised it.Phd8511 (talk) 16:42, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Correct Page title
editThe Corps is correctly called 'The Royal Corps of Signals' The page title omits the first word of the correct name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.18.200.214 (talk) 15:04, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- The official webpage at http://www.army.mod.uk/signals/signals.aspx is headed "Royal Corps of Signals", without the "The", so there is some justification for the current title of the article. On http://www.army.mod.uk/signals/24944.aspx, the official website uses the terminolgy "... the Royal Corps of Signals", with a lower-case "t" in "the", so in these circumstances WP:THE would seem to suggest omitting the definite article from the page title. - David Biddulph (talk) 15:45, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
