Spelling Mistake

I have fixed the word "thwn" into "then", just looked like a minor spelling mistake to me. LostNecromancer 23:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:YUhurri3.jpg

Image:YUhurri3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Remark about the title

I would like to specify that YRAF has never been officially called 'Jugoslovensko kraljevsko ratno vazduhoplovstvo'. It's official name was Vazduhoplovstvo Vojske Kraljevine Jugoslavije (Air Force of Army of Kingdom of Yugoslavia) since it never was a separate brach in the true sense of the word —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.250.43.190 (talk) 14:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Technical, equipment and operational detail.

I have added some technical, equipment and operational detail to the article in order to enhance the pre-existing text.Oz Cro (talk) 16:00, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

The image Image:IK-2.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Images and relevant information

I noticed that several images were removed because they supposedly "violated copyright policy". No detailed explanation was given as to WHO EXACTLY lays claim on these images and it seems they were arbitrarily removed. To Mr Remover...back up your action with reasonable explanation, please.

There is a fair amount of information in this article which, although it relates to the topic in some way, is really irrelavant and not important (e.g. Italian demands and their reasoning for invasion of Yugoslavia in WWII). Although I didn't remove it, I believe it's just a pollutant and I encourage my fellow reviewers and editors to consider whether such stuff should be here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Volonja (talkcontribs) 02:16, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Opposing move

I oppose this move because adding the word "Army" is redundant. All know "Air Force" is a branch of the Army. FkpCascais (talk) 12:24, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

An air force can be an independent branch of the military, on par with the navy and the army - or the army (and often also the navy) can have their own air force branches - which was common before WWII. This force was a sub-branch of the vojska, the (ground) army. For the most prominent contemporary examples, see the United States Army Air Force, or the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force...
After WWII the air force (like in the US) became an independent, coequal branch of the military. Alongside the ground forces and navy. This was not the case in the Kingdom. -- Director (talk) 12:29, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
OK, thank you Director, I see your point. FkpCascais (talk) 12:47, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
I'm fine with the move, but where does the Serbo-Croat come from, sources I have use Vazduhoplovstvo Vojske Kraljevine Jugoslavije. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 06:54, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
