Protected edit request on 25 January 2022 - DragRaceProgressionTable/14
editPlease replace the current "Contestants progress" table as it is not suitable, and insert the following template {{DragRaceProgressTable/14}}, in line with all previous editions. Thank you in advance. --- « Ðømīnīk • Cåpuån » 07:43, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
What do you think about a "BACK" legend in the table for the queens who returned after being elminated?
editOrion and Daya were eliminated in their first chapters, but then they returned in the third one. Would it be necessary/good to signal it on the table? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Not A Superhero (talk • contribs) 18:06, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
Farewell Messages?
editCan anyone verify the farewell messages other users are trying to add? It seems there's a lot of back and forth on whether recent attempts are being considered vandalism. Jalen Folf (talk) 07:25, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Actually we ought to have a discussion on whether these messages should be included at all. I think it's a bit unnecessary tbh. Leave that for the fan wikis. --Pokelova (talk) 05:24, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Kornbread
editNot sure how anyone would want to edit this in, but Kornbread didn't come out as trans until after filming. Devonruuurs (talk) 13:03, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
Episode 11?
editShould the final Bosco/Jasmine lipsync after the LaLaPaRUza count as a BTM2 placement for Bosco? I'm sure Ru said "lipsync for your life" before it, and the circumstances of it were the same as any other bottom 2 lipsync usually has. 86.42.44.133 (talk) 01:45, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
Apologies for the double post, but I've noticed that it does actually already say in the lipsync table that Jasmine was eliminated after her 4th time in the bottom 2. So if Bosco is listed just as STAY in the progress table, then the progress table and lipsync table are not actually in agreement, and if it's counted as a Bottom 2 for Jasmine, then logically the other member of that bottom 2 is Bosco. 86.42.44.133 (talk) 01:50, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
¿Can we use something else instead of just "BTM" for Bosco's bottom saved by the chocolate bar?
editBy the color policy, information shouldn't just be conveyed only by color, and this has the same text as any other bottom placement and only changes the cell color, so I think we should use something else. Maybe "BTM*" or "CHOC", or even "GOLD"? Any thoughts? Not A Superhero (talk) 05:40, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
I think it should just be the regular bottom placement for Bosco. No other double save (even the one where Kandy Muse technically got eliminated and was then told to come back) has a special delineation for why it's a double save. Bleachies (talk) 15:09, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with Bleachies, getting the gold bar doesn't change Bosco's bottom placement. Both Jorgeous and Bosco were in the bottom and were both not eliminated at the end of the day! AstridOfHim (talk) 23:04, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
unlike every other double save, though, Bosco was outright declared the loser of the lip-sync but was then saved by a unique and notable mechanic special to this season. just “BTM” implies the typical double shantay placement, which this was not Griffindaly (talk) 07:38, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
also, main issue with HIGH/LOW placements is that they weren’t explicitly stated in the episode so issues with WP:Verify. in this case SAVE placement was a very clear and verifiable plot point of episode Griffindaly (talk) 08:11, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- I think BTM is the correct choice, because that's where Bosco was placed. What happened after doesn't change that. Daundelin❁ 18:19, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- the title of the section is Contestant Progress. i think noting that she was declared eliminated and then saved is worth noting as part of her progress. Griffindaly (talk) 08:38, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
By this metric we'd have to reconsider Kandy Muse's elimination in season 13 where she was also declared eliminated and then saved. Not to mention the other double shantays where one queen clearly won the lip sync over the other (Jackie Cox, BenDeLaCreme). There's too much room for ambiguity and debates. BTM is the best placement for Bosco. Bleachies (talk) 16:26, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- BdlC and JC aren't relevant here, as 'clearly won the lip sync' is personal interpretation and not verifiable. Daundelin❁ 17:29, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- I seem to have accidentally proven my own point here. There's too much room for ambiguity and personal interpretation! Bleachies (talk) 05:41, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
This wasn't a double shantay. This was a clear loser, brought back by a season game mechanic. There should be *something* to differentiate (and color isn't appropriate).Naraht (talk) 16:57, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- Why does there need to be something to differentiate? Isn't it still true that Bosco was in the Bottom and is now still in the competition? Why is this meaningfully different? Why can't the circumstances of this specific double save just be in the episode description? Bleachies (talk) 05:41, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
Golden Ticket.
editGolden Ticket right now goes to a Disambiguation page and as such has the "disambiguation needed", but I'm really not sure there is a better place for it. My preference would be to *leave* it pointing at the dab page and remove the "disambiguation needed".Naraht (talk) 12:40, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
"Lipsync for her Pleasure"?
editI'm surprised that it hasn't already been added in a "Production" section or something, but since there is now actual evidence of what had long been referred to as a "Lipsync for her Pleasure" in the Snatch Game episode, where Deja Skye lipsynced alone to Levitating by Dua Lipa and DaBaby, but which was later left unbroadcast for unknown reasons (variously described as being either a result of poor performance on Deja's part due to her unpreparedness, or because of the DaBaby controversy which was ongoing at the time), could some information about this element be added to the article, perhaps in an aforementioned potential "Production" section similar to what other Drag Race articles have?
Other references to this solo lipsync include r/Place, where various Drag Race related subs included an illustration of the letters "PLSR" (an abbreviation of pleasure), as part of their section, along with things like "CHOC", "KNEE", and "ELIM", in reference to the abbreviations from the progress tables on Drag Race articles here, from a time when the lipsync was still anticipated and before it was known to have been removed from broadcast.
I don't currently have the link to the video of the watch party, where the confirmation comments were made, to hand, but they should be easy to find, as well as actual article references to the r/Place illustrations and possibly to other posts. Hol-Tangings (talk) 08:24, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
- The existence of a solo 'Lipsync for her Pleasure' to Levitating has now been definitively confirmed by Deja Skye on TS Madison's WOW Presents Plus series, Bring Back My Girls, a show in which cast members from previous seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race reunite in discussion, often including previously unrevealed information. This series was filmed during the summer of 2023 at Drag Con LA and is currently airing.
- As such, a reference to this unique occurrence can now be added to the Production section. Hol-Tangings (talk) 04:21, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
