editThe photograph in this article was taken by Carl Van Vechten in 1966, according to the caption. However, Van Vechten's article says that he died in '64. What do we make of this? --djrobgordon 17:00, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

China Beach/Ossie Davis information
editHello all,
What appears to be an incorrect sentance regarding Ossie Davis' appearance in Skylark. One of my favorite episodes of China Beach and I have never found Mr. Davis either in the show nor in the credits. I believe who you might be remembering here is Joe Seneca who played Ernie.
The sentance "Her husband Ossie Davis (1917–2005) also appeared in that episode." Just needs to be stricken.
Thank you Jim Haseman --Jim haseman (talk) 14:50, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Year of Birth
editSources say that Ruby Dee was born in 1924. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.34.211 (talk) 04:22, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
- Read the footnotes and the New York Times article in which she acknowledges she was born in 1922. Quis separabit? 16:22, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

no such thing as death from 'natural causes'

this is age discrimination. the term is never used on younger people's deaths, and the actual cause is given. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.176.108.8 (talk) 01:19, 13 June 2014 (UTC) |
birth year
editIf she was born in 1924 then her death age is 89 if she was 91 when she died then she was born in 1922 as some sources states...so what do we do? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 02:12, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
Now, Wait a Minute
editThough "Wiki" has Ms. Dee's birth and death date correct, elsewhere in the American media I've heard that she died at the age of 81-and with such consistency by said multiple media. --65.88.88.125 (talk) 16:02, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Veryverser
- We cite CNN, The Washington Post, CBS, The New York Daily News and The New York Times. Looks pretty solid to me. Where are you seeing anything else? - SummerPhDv2.0 17:43, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Role in the Television & Stage sections
editThere was a suggestion on this page that there should be a table created for the Television and Stage sub sections, before implementing a table I wanted to get y'alls thoughts on if her her roles should be added to this table as well in the television and stage sections?
