Another detail about her death is necessary

Can anyone find, among today's breaking news stories of her death, the city in which she died?

All we have is her New York - based manager saying she died from a stroke at 1:00 a.m. Thursday. No telling where in the United States. If that was 1:00 New York time, then it was still Wednesday in California when she died. Did she die in California? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.101.236.250 (talk) 16:33, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

"She passed away at 1 a.m." at New York Presbyterian Hospital, her manager, Barbara Lawrence, told the magazine. McClanahan "had her family with her," Lawrence added. "She went in peace."[1] That would put her death on Thursday, June 3, 2010.—QuicksilverT @ 17:20, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Approximately an hour ago, the article had the time of death, then the time changed, and now it's gone. That's okay, but how about including the city of New York? Maybe the hospital is too much, but how about New York and the manager? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.101.236.250 (talk) 17:23, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Probably deletionist editors at work, who have strange ideas of what details shouldn't be included in biographic articles. I added the New York Daily News reference (quoted in my comment above) to the article. As of a few minutes ago, it's still good. If the People source is going to whittle their article down from what it originally was, maybe it should be dropped from the article.—QuicksilverT @ 17:33, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

It should be dropped, IMHO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.101.236.250 (talk) 17:57, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm not. I'm a WP editor in good standing. See detailed response at your user page.—QuicksilverT @ 19:12, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Rue McClanahan's role as Mother Superior in the musical Nunsense was not listed in her accomplishments

Would like to know if the year was in the mid-eighties that she played this role. I believe it is the original version of Nunsense with Semina De Laurentis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.51.68.219 (talk) 02:18, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Religion

McClanahan once said that the three things she loved were "animals, my Golden Girls, and being a Methodist" not to mention that she indentified herself as a Methodist throughout her life. Although the proof is there and the source that verifies it has been given I still don't why Wikipediah has to keep withdrawing her religion seeing as how she basically said what it was. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.70.27.96 (talk) 23:30, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

If she publicly identified herself as a Methodist, you should have no problem finding a reliable source to support the content. Blogs, adherents.com, nndb.com and the like are not considered reliable which is why the category keeps getting removed every time you add it. I'm sure you already knew that though. The category should only be added back if a reliable source says that her religion is pertinent to her notability. Please see WP:BLPCAT. ~~ GB fan ~~ 03:10, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
BLPCAT is irrelevant to McClanahan, it only applies to living people. Jim Michael (talk) 07:58, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Please take a new photo!

I'm not good in this but please can someone upload a new photo of Rue? I think it's so sad to remember her here with this one that make her look very ill. :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.165.201.197 (talk) 07:34, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Birthdate

I realize stars lie about their ages, but do they usually do so to the government? Can someone please confirm that she was born in 1934, and not 1937, as shown on her 1975 California's driver's license? See http://estateofrue.com/catalog/rues-california-driver-license/ Moncrief (talk) 21:38, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Edit: Never mind. I withdraw my question. I see it's 1934 on her U.S. passport: http://estateofrue.com/catalog/rues-passport/ . You can lie to the state government evidently, but not the Feds! Moncrief (talk) 21:51, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
