A bit confusing
editThis article should clarify that Rumacjs first appeared in children novels, and then a bit later in the cartoon that made him popular.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:32, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- No. In the original version I made a tyop in date: 1976,must be 1967. Staszek Lem (talk) 22:54, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- Right, I fixed it a while back. Can you help expand it a bit so we could DYK it? Also ping User:Darwinek. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:57, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
- Actually you were right. I trusted sc:wp too much. Yes cartoon was later. Staszek Lem (talk)

Additional possible sources
edit@Staszek Lem:, @Piotrus: Gentlemen, I found several other sources in Czech that could potentially be used in the article.
- Author of Rumcajs and Víla Amálka was born hundred years ago iDNES.cz article on Václav Čtvrtek, includes some details about beginnings of Rumcajs.
- Bedtime Stories and Child Viewer bachelor thesis from the Technical University of Liberec. Has the whole chapter on Rumcajs. I am not sure though if we can use a bachelor thesis as a source here.
- Interesting info would be also including some info how Rumcajs is commemorated. There's a small exposition on Rumcajs at the chateau in Jičín. The Club of Czech Tourists holds annually (53rd edition in 2019) a walk in Rumcajs' footsteps through the Bohemian Paradise. This year around 9,000 people took part.[1]
Let me know if some of this would be useful.--Darwinek (talk) 22:44, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
- After recent edits I count 257 words prose, so it is now DYK eligible. But please expand it with any interesting facts, I think the above sources are ok for this article. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:15, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Feel free to propose an event more interesting hook. Hope this gets to the front page. Cheers, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:20, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
In Witcher
editHe even is referenced in The Witcher (but the reference is lost in the English version, sadly). Can't find a reliable source, unfortunately: [2]. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:36, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
