"Rune Magic" is actually a generalized, if small-audience subject which has nothing in general to do with the specifics of Palladium Books's roleplaying games. This article's contents should be merged into "Palladium Books" or deleted. 64.175.40.178 06:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- perhpas merging this page into the Palladium Books article, or even creating a sub-category page to same, might be a good idea after all.
It will take a few days though....
Orthrinos:
I strongly disagree that the subject of rune magic should be merged with the Palladium Books, seeing as rune magic has a completely separate history of itself. Ancient pagan religious practices have taken the subject very seriously and made use of rune magic as such. Whether or not these practices worked or not, is a completely different subject open for discussion, but in my opinion, the history of rune magic as a mago-religious aspect should be taken into consideration.
Reply: Well said, Orthrinos, but your post briongs up a different question of sorts: Does this Palladium Books-centered Article deserve to credited as THE Article on Rune Magic or should it be renamed something like, oh, "Rune Magic (Palladium Books)??" Thanos777 19:33, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
I would say include the book as a part of the rune magic page as a section of the description of rune magic... not just stateing that rune magic is a ultrapowerful high mage because its in a variety of magic systems including celtic and scandinavian lore as well as forgotten realms... I would state base the page on the basics of rune magic being that it is a magic that takes runic combinations to make an effect based upon the runes used (water and wind makes a mist etc etc) making a post on one thing that is a part of many bases is not the best thing for wiki... i vote revamping the post itself to be more inclusive to all forms of runic magic
