1. Lead: "circumnavigated on foot". He crossed the Bering Strait on foot, but nothing in the text says that he walked through Siberia (a highly unlikely event since he had means to pay for horse and sleigh).
2. "Pursuing deserters." Desertering what? It was a trading post, not an army post.
3. Who is Clark, and in what capacity could he order executions of local people?
