Rap
editHe's also rapping: [1] Mallerd (talk) 09:37, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, apparently at least single Eeyeeyo by Darryl ft Ali B, Soumia & Rio ("Rio" is his rap name). Youtube has many of his rapping videos, and the dutch article nl:Ryan Babel has more about his musical career. 109.240.237.101 (talk) 06:49, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Crashed out

Height
editThe height has been repeatedly changed between 6ft 0in and 6ft 1in. The sources available indicated both figures. However, both The Guardian[2] and the Liverpool F.C.[3] website are reliable sources and list the 6ft 0in height. The other two available sources showing 6ft 1in are Ryan Babel's personal website[4] and ESPN[5]. I would discount ESPN straight away as it lists both 6ft 1in and 1.83 metres (1.83 is actually 6ft 0in). I think we should stick to the figures from the Guardian (a highly reliable newspaper source) and LFC.tv (they take the player heights from when they do their medicals). Any one disagree with me or my reasoning? Sillyfolkboy (talk) 15:26, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- I totally agree. We had the same issue with Gerrard, and went for the same solution. I will continue to consider any edits that change to the other height as vandalism, and if there's enough of it, i'll ask for the page to be protected, again. --Ged UK (talk) 18:08, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree ,on his official website his height is listed 1,85 m [[6]],so let it 1,85 m !!! not 1,83 m .Karim Abdul Rashid (talk) 20:02, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Karim Abdul RashidKarim Abdul Rashid (talk) 20:02, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- No. Official sites are primary sources and less reliable than third party sources. He could say he was any height he liked on his own page. --Ged UK (talk) 21:12, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- The main problem is that it seems strange that he has shrunk since his Ajax days. I just don't know what to think his height is now. So, as long as it's cited with the correct Liverpool/Ajax source I couldn't really care which height the infobox says. I feel I've spent far too long discussing this minor point. vandalism
editNoticed some stuff in the infobox (name, height) as I happened to be checking the page... I'm about to fix it. Might be worth keeping an eye on this page, as it seems Liverpool fans are less than pleased with him after he criticised Rafa Benitez (they were just booing him as he came on against Debrecen in the champion's league) and thus he may be susceptible to vandalism.
