Manual of Style issues:
- His list of works should be in chronological order. MOS:WORKS
- Only the first word of a header should be capitalized, except for proper nouns. MOS:HEAD
- There are too many one sentence paragraphs. Either flesh them out or combine them together. MOS:PARAGRAPHS
Citations:
- Citations are missing from some facts about his personal life. For example:
- Berry was born on January 31, 1945, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and grew up in Coconut Grove, Florida.
- He studied literature, archeology, and classics at the University of Pennsylvania (Ancient Studies) and at Columbia University.
- He taught comparative literature at Baruch College in Manhattan (a school within the City University of New York), and later culinary history at New School for Social Research in New York City.
- The 'recurring now-and-then fad' of citing "celebrity vegetarians" was critically studied by Berry, who managed to position himself as a leading authority on who, as a celebrity, truly was vegetarian and who indeed was not.
- The citations that are present need to be in the proper format and include all author, url if applicable, title, date, etc. See Template:Cite web for an example of how to cite a web page.
Neutrality:
- The article only provides a positive point of view. There needs to be some mention of is critics.

editHidden in the text is the statement that Rynn Berry made much of his raw diet, while sampling vegan food at NYC restaurants for his annual Vegan Guide to New York City must have required that he eat cooked food quite often. MaynardClark (talk) 05:40, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Asthma Rynn Berry, Jr., who lived in Brooklyn and taught in New York City, suffered from asthma (he - the New York City 'mystery jogger' - was found with an inhaler - for asthma).[1] He had commented privately (documentation is available - but not here) that, following 9/11/2001, the air quality in New York City was 'very strange, like pulverized concrete' - with office papers wafting through the air days and weeks later. Living with asthma in that physically polluted densely-populated urban environment cannot be health-supporting, although Berry's long-term life effort was to optimize his physical health (as a raw vegan who exercised). How ironic that he died of a heart attack while trying to jog just a few days before New Year's Day, when New Year's resolutions are traditionally made and implemented. Rynn Berry, Jr. managed to live longer (to an older age) than his half-brothers lived, who curiously died early - with similar scenarios. MaynardClark (talk) 06:53, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
