S&P 500 Index → S&P 500 – The title S&P 500 already redirects to this article, so the word "Index" is not needed for disambiguation purposes. Per WP:CONCISE, just "S&P 500" is the preferable title because this topic is sufficiently identifiable without including the word "Index" in the title. Similar articles do not include the word "Index", e.g. S&P 100. Mz7 (talk) 00:18, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- I agree with this rename. S&P 500 is an index so the "Index" in the article title is not needed. Ksu6500 (talk) 03:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support, since the lead sentence already says it's an index. Some1 (talk) 03:46, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support moving back to S&P 500, for consistency with S&P 400, S&P 600, NASDAQ Composite, many, many others. This article was at S&P 500 for many years before being moved here without any notice or discussion. UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:39, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support as per UnitedStatesian and nom. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:41, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
