Review
edit*Susan Eloise Hinton is an American author, best known for writing young adult fiction. - per WP:MOSBOLD, unlink bold terms or don't bold the linked terms.
- The Outsiders was Hinton's first published book in 1967. - how about state when she started writing the book and then state when it was published, also needs source.
- The source at the end of the paragraph sources everything, but should I source every sentence? Also, I'll look for when she started writing the book. iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well like I said below, you need to find other points of references to have a more expanded refs to sources.--SRX 16:47, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

- After writing The Outsiders, Hinton was given the nickname The Voice of the Youth. - umm, source? Also, how about state what recognition her book received.
- Read above about the source, also - the recognition is in the Awards section later on, is there something I'm missing? iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, the prose needs to summarize the tables as well. It's just like awards lists, they summarize the person's work.--SRX 16:47, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

- Hinton didn't write another story for over two years, until her husband grew sick of her depression and made her write two pages a day if she wanted to go anywhere in, which resulted in Hinton's novel That Was Then, This Is Now. - really POV. Author's not writing in 2 years isn't really notable, some take short breaks. Just say her second novel was "That Was Then, This is Now'" +source
- See about about source, and otherwise - removed. iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hinton's next and shortest novel, [[Rumble Fish {novel)|Rumble Fish]] was published in 1975 after she had published a short story version in a 1968 edition of University of Tulsa's Alumni Magazine. - something is wrong with the pipelink. Also link to short story, and source for this statement.
- See about about source. I can't figure out what happened to the link, what should I do? Link to short story - done. iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- You used a "{" instead of a parenthesis.--SRX 16:47, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

- Four years later in 1979, Tex was published and would be Hinton's last book for nine years. reason for 9 year hiatus?
- In 1985, Hinton's That Was Then, This is Now became a movie. Hinton's next novel Taming the Star Runner was her first book that wasn't written in first-person point-of-view. - 1)These sentences are ordered really weirdly, you go from being made into a movie to how her next book was something. Elaborate on the movie, recognition, etc. 2) Date when the next novel was written/published?
*Seven years after Taming the Star Runner, Hinton released her first children book, Big David, Little David, and following that she released The Puppy Sister. - When did she release "The Puppy Sister?" Was that her last book?
State how many books overall she made.- Needs more about the recognition of each book and more about her personal life and how she rose to prominence and how she became a writer.
- Shouldn't that be in her main article? iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, you can have a small sentence that summarizes her early life, it's in order to have an engaging lead and so the reader can have more background information.--SRX 16:47, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Shouldn't that be in her main article? iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
*The books table can have it's width decreased and right align every column, having them in the middle is very distracting.
- Do you mean left? I don't think they should all be right aligned, maybe the books and notes should stay centered? iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I meant left. It looks very distracting, adding to the fact that they are sortable.--SRX 16:47, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

*The Award(s) Won column should not be sortable because you use bullets and more than one entry in each column. Also "Won" should be in lower case.
- How do you make one column unsortable? iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Redundant link to S.E. Hilton in See also section, it is already linked in the lead.- Needs more sourcing, especially the lead.
- See above, and yeah - I have to find more sources.
- You are going to need third party sources, her official site is not going to suffice.
- See one comment up. iMatthew (talk) 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

- I am done with everything except the "personal life sentence or two" I'll get to that later. iMatthew (talk) 20:37, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Part 2
edit- Hinton followed the advice given to her and wrote her second novel, That Was Then, This Is Now in 1971, and following that, she wrote her shortest novel, Rumble Fish, which was published in 1975 after she had published a short story version in a 1968 edition of University of Tulsa's Alumni Magazine. - needs a full stop somewhere, this is just a run-on sentence.
- Four years later in 1979, Tex was published and would be Hinton's last book for nine years as she raised her child. - How about at the end "for nine years as she devoted her time to raise here child."
- In 1985, Hinton's That Was Then, This is Now became a movie. Hinton's next novel Taming the Star Runner was her first book that wasn't written in first-person point-of-view. - It's odd how you go from the movie to a different book in two sentences. Elaboration as to why the movie is notable or at least have a transition, as none is present.
- Seven years after Taming the Star Runner, Hinton released her first children book, Big David, Little David, and following that in 1995 she released The Puppy Sister. Since it's already established who is writing these books, the second part can just be "Big David, Little David, which followed with the release of The Puppy Sister in 1995."
- In 2004 Hawkes Harbor, - Needs a comma after 2004
- In the para. about her awards, you should state how many she has won from how many nominations.
- The notes in each table need to be unsortable.
- I'm not sure if using online retailers as sources is good in this case, as I was told to remove them from FA's.--SRX 14:12, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- I got everything, and I'll ask a source reviewer about the online retailers, if not I'll look around. iMatthew 14:37, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- User:Juliancolton has confirmed these sources are okay to use. iMatthew 14:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
