SCi Games → SCi – WP:COMMONNAME Lordtobi (✉) 15:50, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). SarekOfVulcan (talk) 15:54, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Need some evidence that the short form is actually the commonname at this point, please. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 15:55, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Their legal name was "SCi Entertainment plc", as they were publicly traded under that name, not "SCi Games". They previously also traded as "SCi Limited" (the full name, as given on the article, was "SCi (Sales Curve Interactive) Limited") Hence "SCi Games" is not the appropriate target", rather SCi (which currently redirects there) or, if need be, SCi (company) or SCi Entertainment. Our custom search engine for video games picks up at least 27,500 results for just "SCi" when put alongside Eidos (a company they owned and later named themselves after) and exclusions, like "sci-fi", are applied. Obviously there are more far sources outside of the Eidos scope, but it's hard to properly filter them due to the short name. On the other hand, "SCi Games" just garners around nine thousand results. - Oppose SCi should be redirected to the DAB page SCI, which I expect is a far more useful result when searching "SCi". --The1337gamer (talk) 16:58, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose and redirect SCi to SCI. I agree with The1337gamer—there is hardly a primary topic in case of this title. — bieχχ (talk) 14:36, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Proposing instead that the article be moved to SCi Entertainment. The British newspaper citations actually refer to it by this name. DA1 (talk) 19:02, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yep. As I stated above, if SCi is not a feasible target (it still redirects here), SCi Entertainment is a possible alternative. Lordtobi (✉) 19:07, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Lordtobi: Perhaps it's best to redirect SCi to SCI, while renaming the article in question to SCi Entertainment. DA1 (talk) 17:51, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Games
editDid the company publish any games? The article doesn't mention any at all. Was it some kind of holding company, or a legal entity, or what? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:20, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
