Conflict of interest
editHi, I updated the picture, Note that I've a conflict of interest. I also updated the devices names in the porting. GNUtoo(my point of views(for npov)) | talk 13:43, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've also added links and I'm updating the article as a lot of information is outdated on it, and that nobody updated it since a long time. GNUtoo(my point of views(for npov)) | talk 02:12, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
Stability
editIt would be a good idea to show the downsides of that approach and find multiple dated references that shows how stable/unstable was SHR over time, and the link with the underlying stack stability at the time (functionally different builds output due to ./configure picking random dependencies in openembedded, moving target with EFL, VALA arm port being new, etc), and compare that with Debian and other distributions targetting the Openmoko. Adaptation of graphical applications
editIt would also be a good idea to look more into the stack to see how SHR adapted graphical applications (gtkrc, etc) to be more finger friendly and more adapted to the display DPI, and compare that with Debian for instance. GNUtoo(my point of views(for npov)) | talk 10:13, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
Relationship to freesmartphone.org and new devices ports
editIt would also be a good idea to look more into the relationship between SHR and freesmartphone.org, especially because it used autorev (origin/master in git) for several components, along with cross compilation, it probably made the development easier, which may have made porting newer devices easier. It would also be interesting to look into the limitation of the ports (non standard kernels, time consuming, etc). GNUtoo(my point of views(for npov)) | talk 10:13, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
