Em agosto de 1904, o Vineta esteve na cidade de Fortaleza - Ceará - Brasil, onde houve um incidente nos protocolos de boas-vindas. O capitão de mar e guerra "Schôder", assim como está publicada a noticia no jornal, zarpou no dia seguinte em protesto. A noticia traz a lista de todos os oficiais da embarcação.
