Talk:SSV Normandy

Is the correct term "The SR1 Normandy?" Because I was told (click the citation, open the fifth column) that the Normandy has the letters SSV on the side, and that those letters stand for "Systems (Alliance) Space Vehicle." Could the correct term be "The SSV Normandy?" [1] --Asklepios 02:09, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Right, well, I found a page on the official Mass Effect website where the Normandy is referred to as the SS Normandy, so I'm going to ahead and change it to that. It still might be wrong, but it's all I've found. [2] --Asklepios 23:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm just confused. I don't see any other mention of an SS Normandy, so I'm beginning to believe it's SSV. However, it is not SR1. [3] SR1 is the Normandy's hull classification symbol. --Asklepios 20:12, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
From what it says here, http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=579076&forum=104&sp=15, it would seem it is the SSV Normandy, and SR-1 is a serial number-esque type number, meaning that it would still remain the SSV Normandy. i.e. you don't call your Xbox 360 a >serial number< 360 you call it an Xbox 360. 59.154.24.147 08:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Not to mention that it's reffered to (at least once; I'm only seven hours in) as "the SSV Normandy" in-game. -Madbrood (talk) 22:13, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
