Ignoring a rule
editAFAIK Dab standards do not provide for the long entry i created for the WWII-era vessel... except in the sense that
- anything shorter could invite (AFAWeK mistaken) beliefs that the SS Borussia user user seeks is not one that had been Borussia (until its renaming), but a vessel physically distinct from the 3 we know of, and
- we have a rule that says WP:IGNORE ALL RULES (when following one -- or, perhaps in this case, imagining that "everything that is not explicitly permitted is forbidden" is an implicit rule -- becomes disfunctional).
(I don't recall ever before invoking IAR re a Dab page, but i think there's a rule about "everything ever done, was once done for the first time". Isn't there?)
