I am creating this entry as a stub, because I had hard time finding anything useful about STIRT on the internet. I just encountered this abbreviation in a job description for a position in which I might be interested. And everything else that I could find on the internet so far amounts pretty much to other job adverts and no explanations.
Hey guys, I'm an engeneer, not a finance fellow -- we need someone competent to expand this.

Just occured to me, that the job agencies had actually got it wrong in their job descriptions (perhaps from misunderstood jargon). The correct phrase must be either 'STIR trading' or just 'STIRT'. Therefore 'STIRT skills' is a legitimate phrase, but 'STIRT trading' seems like a tautology.
And there already exists an entry on STIR in the Wikipedia, but that is only limited to dealing with 'STIR future' (perhaps rightly?), so I feel that we still might need a proper entry on 'STIR' and in it a section on 'STIRT' (and then this here entry could be redirected to point to that section).
I will now add a note and an internal reference to 'STIR', but I am leaving the rest to the experts to further expand or delete or collate this article with annother one.
