Background

edit

The article lacks any background to this case of death by misadventure.
Why were they on a pleasure cruise in that vicinity in the first place?

The query makes no sense. They were at the bottom of the Persian Gulf, which is a primary shipping lane. Or are you implying that vessels may only ply the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, but not the Indian Ocean?Wzrd1 (talk) 15:21, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Confusing reference (due to redirect in “Special Maritime and Territorial Jurisdiction of the United States“)

edit

This article references and links to “Special Maritime and Territorial Jurisdiction of the United States” in the section titled “Trial”, but that topic is empty except for a redirect to “Federal Enclaves” which is totally unrelated.

Resolution seems to be adding content in “Special Maritime and Territorial Jurisdiction of the United States” to explain the applicability to the SY Quest incident. It would be an expansion, in addition to the existing redirect. I am not qualified to write it. For me to do so would require the knowledge that I went there to learn, so chicken-egg problem for me.

Perhaps whoever created the reference in this article understands it well enough to update the referenced page as well. Or someone else who has the necessary knowledge will stumble upon this and fix it. 2601:5CF:8000:154:A9B0:211C:9E23:DBB6 (talk) 10:05, 29 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
