Talk:Saab 9-2

"No move of this sort is expected from arch-rival manufacturer Mitsubishi, as its boy racer cars are not likely to garner the attention of friendly manufacturers."

I removed the above from the article, as I felt it was rather non-information; feel free to disagree and restore it. Out of interest, why is this article not at Saab 9-2X? - IMSoP 00:04, 26 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I think the content of this page can easily be explained in the Saab 9-2X article, especially because almost nothing is known about this vehicle and it seems more like a pipe dream more than anything. This article isn't long enough to stand on its own with everything we know about the automobile. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bailmoney27 (talkcontribs) 19:02, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

oppose - while I agree it's not a great article, but it has nothing to do with the rebadged Subaru. Warren (talk) 22:33, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oppose as the 9-2 and 9-2X are completely unrelated cars. The 9-2 is Saab designed concept, the 9-2X is a rebadged Subaru Impreza. Also, the 9-2X does not have an article of its own any more, it is just a subsection of the Impreza page and merging the two would be very messy IMO. I think the only other place this could go is on a page such as Saab Automobile. This really isn't a good article and I don't think it deserves a standalone - it is just a concept car that was mentioned once on the drawing board and never really left the early design stage (as far as I can find from reliable sources). Concept cars are still notable in their own right. If the new reinvented Saab produces a production model based on this concept, then surely the two can go together. Until such a car is released, I feel that a stand-alone page is the best solution. I am certain this page could be reliably sourced. OSX (talkcontributions) 05:49, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
