While I'm at it with the early woman composers, might as well review this article.
- Lede
- "She is the first known woman of Armenian literature and music, and—with her slightly later contemporary Khosrovidukht—among the earliest woman composers in the history of music." Clunky usage of both dashes and commas that introduces clause errors. Also, "history of music" (my italics) is redundant, as "composers" already suggests that. What about "She is the first known woman of Armenian literature and music. Along with her slightly later contemporary Khosrovidukht, she is among the earliest woman composers in history."
- Your suggestion is definitely better, changed to that
- Works
- Link "quatrain".
- Done
- General
- There are no ongoing discussions or edit-wars, the article is neutral and well-summarized.
- The lede image is appropriately licensed. The audio is similar to this discussion. I'll also give it a pass.
- References
- No copyvio found.
- Spotchecks:
- Arzruni ref supports all cited text, however, the ref doesn't say that she spent "most of her life as an ascetic" (my italics) and simply states that she was one.
- Ah yes, I think this was me trying to clarify that she had an education before becoming an ascetic, but I'm now thinking the chronological order of the sentences makes that clear enough—removed the "most of her life"
- Hacikyan ref supports all cited text.
- Hovanessian & Margossian ref supports all cited text. I was going to state that reference 1.d is a little iffy as it uses an actual poem to come to a conclusion. But since that isn't really WP:OR, and the same is done using music scores as references, I can't really cavil.
- AGF on Jeffery ref.
- Rowe ref supports all cited text. I would personally make sure ref 8 has a page range between 84 and 85, as there is no direct mention of Sahakdukht on page 84. It is up to you though.
- Indeed! Changed
