Merge (?)
editHello, I'm Burmiester, a beaurocrat with the Numismatics project. I'd like to raise the discussion on why there is a motion to merge this page into another article.
This is wrong.
It's plain as day to see that this article is well developed and lengthy enough to avoid a merging. Get back to me with responses, please. (Burmiester (talk) 15:28, 11 September 2013 (UTC))
- What other article? We have well-developed articles on both the Liberty Head (Coronet) and Saint-Gaudens double eagles, this is in fact a featured article. There is no need for a merge.--Wehwalt (talk) 15:38, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, I see, it's on the WP:NUMIS tasks you can do. That should probably be removed, it has been sitting here for years very likely. I worked on this article three or four years ago. It is probably from before that, when we had a very shoddy article on this and possibly a better one on double eagle and no doubt a merge was thought of, but now we have strong articles for the two types of double eagles.--Wehwalt (talk) 21:53, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
