Jean-Marie Lefèvre is not a famous saint-quentinois. According to this article: Biographies of living persons, this name must be removed from Wikipedia (poorly sourced). Deboutv 06:33, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bias and Sources (History)

edit

There are extensive issues in this section. I'm primarily concerned that several paragraphs violate NPOV, most notably the final line:

"In the end the American army did more damage to the city than the German forces and never faced concesquences."

And that there are no citations given at all. It reads as if several paragraphs, if not a majority of the section, may have been directly lifted from an uncited source (possibly written in a language other than English), e.g.:

"When we see the damage suffered mainly on the houses, we can ask ourselves the question of the usefulness of this bombardment."

I have deleted the line beginning "In the end" , as well as "This pointless attack cost 91 civilian casualties and caused around 150 injured" and "The hopeless but heroic action had national repercussions"

I'm not prepared to delete the entire History section myself at this time. Lloannna (talk) 01:56, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

A block of uncited material amounting to opinion was added to this section on 29th November, 2022 by an IP user. I have reverted to the revision before this addition; the only subsequent edit was a typo fix to the added material.
