We read (till a few minutes ago, when I deleted it) of the buraiha:

Their writing stands in contrast to the tradition and morals of the ultra-nationalistic literature that was critically and state condoned at the time.

I believe that this is about the period immediately after the war. "Ultra-nationalistic literature" would not have been condoned by the state, which was subject to the antinationalist (if also increasingly anti-Communist) US occupation overlords. -- Hoary (talk) 09:26, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
