2005 Model line

I updated the page for the 2005 Model line. It claims that the S7 and the S7 Twin Turbo are seperate cars, yet according to Saleen's website and other material I have researched in print and online (mostly to write the Saleen S7 article, I can only find mention of one S7 that is being released in the 2005 model year, which is the Turbo model. Any other input? I've fixed the Saleen page to reflect this, but will change it back if someone has evidence to suggest otherwise. JogCon 06:07, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

The S7 N/A (2004 and earlier) is no longer manufactured. The S7 TT is the only version of the car being sold now, with the differing horsepower-rated editions.

Transformers Movie Appearances

Here's a german movie-spy website, with a series of photos documenting both the police package Mustang, and the Camaro with a Saleen license plate. Forum Thread

History

Is it me, or is this page missing the "early years" part of the history section? Jedikaiti (talk) 12:48, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Future

Multiple sources state that MJ Acquisitions purchased the supercharger/etc parts of the business and that Saleen, Inc has ceased operations. Is this article about the now-defunct company that Steve Saleen created, or should it continue with MJ and whatever name they use? My opinion is that in voiding all previous warranties, they do not deserve the previous history and reputation. (I'm not necessarily blaming MJ Acquisitions: it could very well be that the previous owner broke it up such that the remainder was not viable.) 65.170.234.10 (talk) 23:58, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

As the company Saleen, Inc. itself is now defunct, the page should be structured to reflect the now defunct company. I doubt MJ Acquisitions would satisfy the notability requirements and certainly is not the same company as Saleen, Inc. since it is not a registered automobile manufacturer nor is it the same as the Saleen, Inc. Delaware corporation nor the Saleen Productions California subsidiary or Saleen Special Vehicles LLC subsidiary of which Saleen, Inc. was comprised. A similar comparison would be the Maybach brand; currently the Saleen brand continues to exist as a product line owned by a company other than its original namesake. Only time will tell if enough happens with the brand while it is owned by a company other than its namesake so as to warrant being at least comparably noteworthy as the original company.72.86.56.200 (talk) 11:41, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

As most people will know, there have been three different Saleens I have seen in various forms of media. In the movie Transformers, the Decepticon Barricade was a Saleen S281E(police special, of course). In Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition and Dub Edition Remix there has been the Saleen S7. Recently, in Midnight Club LA Remix the Saleen S302E is on the cover of the box. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SR275 (talkcontribs) 04:35, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

It's not clear that the company is really closed as 2010 and 2011 cars announced in the offcial website — Preceding unsigned comment added by BaalMan (talkcontribs) 20:53, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

I believe Saleen, Inc only made modified Ford vehicles. Saleen only manufactured Mustangs, and F-150's out of the big three. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Route66draw (talkcontribs) 00:22, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
