execution
editNew to wikipedia. please help proper citing format if not too busy. In "They Dare to Speak Out- People and Institutions Confront Israel's Lobby" by Paul Findley, Findley discusses American State Department Officials to have arranged a visit to Aden on June 26,1978 for exploratory talks and a noncommital way the resumption of diplomatic negotiations. Ali was to meet with them the day of the arrival. According to Findley, "Aden's Marxist hardliners decided to act. Concerned by Ali's probing for improved relations with the United States and Saudi Arabia, radicals seized fighter planes, strafed the presidential quarters, took control of the government, and on the day the U.S. Delegation was scheduled to arrive, arrested Ali. He was executed by a firing squad. Ambassador Ashtal called from New York to tell me the delegation would still be welcome, but the mission was scrubbbed. The group, after traveling as far as Sa'ana, capital of North Yemen, returned to Washington. Distressed over the execution of Ali, I asked Ashtal for an explanation. He told me, 'It's an internal matter of no concern to the outside world. ' " See Findley page 11, (Lawrence Hill Books, Copyright 1985,1989. Very interesting However the conclusion from this information is not fully right. There were much more important events in Yemen that time, I mean, June 24, 1978 Peresident al-Ghashmi assasination by President Salim Rubai envoy with "shonta malghuma" = attache-case bomb and June 25 President Salim Rubai's resignation befor UPONLF Political Buro mambers and his military action against them after that in the first hours of June 26, 1978. Then Ali Antar's and Abdul Fattah's forces succeeded to force him to surrander the same evening, and within an hour he was executed by (ع ش ), who also was killed at folse YSP Political Buro meeting January 13, 1986. In connection with the US delegation, it is hardly known, but at the same time there was a top level Soviet communist party advisor living in a Presidential hotel of the Salim Rubai's quarters at Marbat: Salmin himself asked the CPSU leaders to post him a teacher in true Maxism. He knew that Moscow looked at him as a left-wing pro-Chianese revolutionary extremist and liked to emprove his personal relations not only with Amerikans, but also with Soviets on the eve of planned coup attampt against his inner UPONLF opposition. Such a move toward two great sides was very natural, but not the US delegation's possible arrival was a cause of June 26-27, 1978 short-time civil war in PDRY. (That time I was right there). --Mutargim (talk) 20:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

To change this article name to Salim Rubai Ali (Salmin)
editThis polititian's real name was Salim Rubai Ali (or Salim Rubeyya Ali) and he had a "movement name" ("ism Haraki" in Arabic) - "Salmin" under which he was also known, but not Salim Ali Rubai' as it is here! I've changed the main text but don't know how to change the wiki-page name. In addition? the photograph which was here presents not Salim Rubeyya but Ali Nasim Muhammed - his Prime Minister in 1977. --85.141.149.40 18:25, 4 December 2007 (UTC) PS The post is mine. --Mutargim (talk) 21:16, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
